In conjunction with the Ohio Poultry Association and sponsored by a USDA grant, the Egg Industry Center is EGGSited to help offer a FREE Virtual Forum again in 2026.
The Ventilation for Poultry Health and Performance Virtual Forum will be offered via Zoom webinar on April 29 from noon to 4 p.m. Eastern. The program focuses on poultry ventilation across all housing styles, including cages, open aviaries, floor systems, and systems with outdoor access. Ventilation plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, health, and environmental quality of modern poultry production. As the egg industry continues to investigate conventional cage housing alternatives, including cage-free and free-range operations, ventilation challenges are growing more complex. In addition, disease pressures such as Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and other diseases already affecting hen environments further emphasize the critical role of ventilation in maintaining bird health and performance.
