New Board Member Highlight

Dr. Dan Thomson started his appointment with the EIC advisory board on Monday, March 23. He will fill the seat vacated by Dr. John Patience, the interim chair of the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University. 

Dr. Thomson was announced as the new Chair of the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University in January 2020. He holds degrees from Iowa State University, South Dakota State University and Texas Tech University. Dr. Thomson is a D.V.M. who has toured the world speaking on matters of animal production and welfare, and also serves as the host of RFD-TV's Doc Talk. The Egg Industry Center is excited to welcome Dr. Thomson and his wealth of knowledge and experience to the board to help advance the mission of the Egg Industry Center.
