Steve George is a growth-oriented executive with experience in agribusiness, infrastructure development, finance, and technology. He has been active in the egg production industry for over 20 years and is a fourth-generation farmer. He is a partner/investor in Fremont Farms of Iowa, LLP, a leading supplier of liquid egg products, where he served as President and CEO from 2002-2021. George is also a founding partner of Iowa Cage Free, LLP. He currently serves as an advisor to Innova’s most recent Ag-Tech fund, and serves on the boards of ScoreVision, Egg Industry Center, Bellevue University, Horizons International, and others. He also manages private investments in food, agribusiness, tech, and other areas.
Previously George was VP of Corporate Development at Peter Kiewit Sons’, Inc. for large-scale construction, infrastructure development, telecom, and energy projects. He began his career with the IBM Corporation in computer design, product management, and finance. He has an engineering degree from University of Nebraska and MBA from Harvard Business School.
He previously served on the boards of Enterprise Bank, US Farmer and Ranchers, the United Egg Producers, and Midwest Poultry Consortium. He served on the American Egg Board for nearly a decade where he served as Chair from 2020-2021. George continues to pursue private investment opportunities in food, agribusiness, tech, and other areas.
