EIC moves Egg Forum dates

January 26, 2022

AMES, Iowa — Since its inaugural meeting in 2008, the Egg Industry Issues Forum has been held annually in April. However, in 2022, the nationwide egg industry meeting has a new home on the industry's calendar, November 8-9.

"Finding an alternative date for a national meeting is not an easy task for this industry," stated EIC Program Manager & Communications Specialist Lesa Vold.

The location for the 2022 Egg Forum is Ames, Iowa, and Vold explained two specific reasons for that choice. Since 2013, the Egg Industry Center has held optional tours and workshops as part of its Egg Forum program. The completion of the Robert T. Hamilton Poultry Teaching & Research chicken facility, and the nearly completed turkey research unit at Iowa State University, provide natural tour locations for this year’s Forum attendees.

In addition, Egg Forum attendees will have the option to supplement their educational experience with participation in the Iowa Egg Symposium, Nov. 10, hosted by the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. This day consists of educational presentations and a poster session that highlights some of the latest in poultry research.

The Egg Industry Center website will highlight details and registration information for the 2022 Egg Forum as it becomes available this summer.

The Egg Industry Center helps infuse science into the industry’s decisions by educating the industry on the available science and facilitating and funding new egg industry research throughout North America. For more information, visit the center’s website www.eggindustrycenter.org.
